After Hours in Central City

Central City Depot Platform

As you know, when work is over... This is the first photo that I've seen that actually shows people at the Central City Depot doing something constructive.... This is taken on the back platform of the depot. Aside from the obvious put-up job, the scale and Hand Truck are a nice addition as are the crates that these men are sitting on. A bit of detail for you who like overkill.

As a freight car geek, the upper brake staff support is the real gem in that picture. Here is another view of one on Boxcar 7681.

Sure did, John... and my eyes crossed as well. Did you read the cases that these guys were sitting on? They all read "Ginger Ale".

yes Rick, Ginger Ale boxes, sure - but the guy on the left sure looks like he is actually savoring a fine vintage Opus One cabernet while the other two jokers are more probably exploring the merits of their Don Julio to-kill-ya's ...
